Position Summary
Responsible to drive Academy enrollment and sales in Japan through event activation and establishing relationships with sponsors, private schools, local officials and sports organizations in key markets within the region.
Place of Work
IMG Tokyo (Roppongi Tokyo)
Hours of Work
7.5 hours per day between 9:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., with one hour for lunch, normally between 12:00 noon and 1:00 p.m., Monday through Friday
Non-Working Days
Saturdays, Sundays, Japanese national holidays and the period that includes December 30th and 31st and January 2nd and 3rd
Annual Leave
granted 10 days from the start day (prorated after July to Dec)
Compensation
depending on your ability and experience
Overtime allowance
Eligible but 35 hours of overtime wage is already included in monthly salary
Position Responsibilities
Outreach:
• Reporting to the Global Outreach Manager to execute the outreach and achieve sales targets in academy sales
• Ability to generate leads via external events and activities to drive boarding school enrollment
• Maintain an accurate pipeline of all outreach in addition to ROI
• Daily communication with strategic relationships created in Japan providing updates, support, education on IMGA developments and pertinent communication
• Deliver seminars and presentations to various audiences of families, teams, coaches, schools, federation officials, etc. on behalf of IMG Academy to increase academy enrollment
• Maintaining a thorough knowledge of IMG Academy campus, including the Academy programs, Camp Programs and IMGA School
• Demonstrating technical selling skills and product knowledge in all areas of the sport program
• Properly and effectively using the necessary CRM software
• Work closely with marketing department and office manager to ensure outreach events are properly resourced with promotional materials, presentation displays, and appropriate collateral
• Attend fairs and seminars with a focus on prospecting families looking to attend school abroad
• Adhering to all company policies, procedures and business ethic codes
• Other duties as assigned

Sales:
• Responsible for the lifecycle of the enrollment (sales & recruitment) process for Private School Program in Japan market
• Maintaining an accurate pipeline of prospective business and enrolled business
• Demonstrating technical selling skills and product knowledge in all areas of the sport program
• Prospect potential families through daily phone calls and emails
• Determining customer needs and expectations while making expert recommendations to maximize the customer’s experience
• Working closely with the Global Outreach manager to create effective strategies for increasing enrollment
• Develop and execute sales and marketing plans designed to grow Private School business in Japan
• Identifying new opportunities for business development designed to increase Private School enrollment in Japan
• Supporting and maintaining a high level of understanding of the four year model for the Academy Program student-athlete
• Properly and effectively using the necessary CRM software
• Educating customers about terminology, features and benefits of sport programs
• Attending regular Student-Athlete Advisor team meetings and supporting peers, as needed
• Managing time effectively, meeting personal and company goals and working effectively with other members in the Japan office
• Maintaining close relationship with related departments on campus to ensure proper client transition from sale to participation

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Ability
• Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Management, Business, Marketing or related field
• Strong decision making, negotiation and problem solving skills
• Thorough understanding of the athletic and school landscape throughout Japan
• Athletic background playing sports throughout Japan
• Outside sales experience managing an assigned territory
• Experience in dealing with international clientele
• 3 years of sales experience
• Track record of sales revenue and success
• Experience cold calling, following up on leads and generating pipelines
• Desire to work collaboratively with colleagues
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Fluent in Japanese and English
• Proficiency with MS Office and database creation/management
• Experience with budgets and expense oversight
• Ability to create and execute marketing plans
• Expert attention to detail
• Desire to work collaboratively with colleagues

Preferred Skills
• Master’s degree
• Bi-Lingual- Japanese and English
Physical Demands and Work Environment
• Ability to lift, move, push and pull equipment or boxes in excess of 40lbs.
• Should be able to handle outdoor temperatures for a reasonable period of time.
• Must be able to move around campus which includes gym, turf, fields, etc.
• Ability to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends and holidays is required
